Job summary

Cura Hospitality is seeking an experienced Full-Time Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team at Whitfield, MS. You will assess nutritional needs, implement interventions, and help maintain residents’ nutritional status in collaboration with the care team.

Requirements include a nutrition degree (Bachelor's and preferably Master's), successful completion or eligibility for the CDR exam, and state licensure. Experience in healthcare or long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining services and nutrition.
• Actively participate in developing, reviewing, and revising continuous quality improvement programs.
