Job summary

Cura Hospitality in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced registered dietitian to join our healthcare team. You will identify and assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and help maintain nutritional status.

You will educate staff and collaborate with other departments, follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Passes the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years in accordance with the CDR.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
