Job summary

Elior North America is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian for our healthcare team at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving quality of life for patients/residents.

This is an onsite, non-exempt, hourly position. You will work with the care team to educate patients and staff, adhere to practice standards, and contribute to dining services and nutrition policy development.

Qualifications

• Passed national examination by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement programs.
