LCMC Health is seeking a Clinical Dietitian in New Orleans, LA, to conduct nutritional assessments and provide personalized nutrition care plans. The ideal candidate will teach nutrition education sessions, collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance dietary health, and develop educational materials for both patients and professionals.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or a related field and experience as a Registered Dietitian. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role, which operates on a day shift basis.
The Clinical Dietitian conducts nutritional assessments, provides nutrition counseling to patients and prepares individualized nutrition care plans. Teaches group education sessions related to nutrition and makes nutrition related presentations to interested groups in the community. Implements patient dietary health by consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Reviews patient records, interviews patients, assesses nutritional needs and formulates appropriate diets.
Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field.
Strong interpersonal communication skills to communicate with patients, visitors, healthcare team members, and other employees.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
