Job summary

Four Chaplains Nursing Care Center in Michigan seeks a Registered Dietitian to assess, develop, and direct residents' nutrition plans. You will collaborate with residents, families, and culinary staff to create person-centered care plans and support nutritional goals.

Stay current with nutrition research, educate staff on dietary practices, and ensure compliant nutrition services within a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (ACEND-accredited).
• Current Registered Dietitian status in Michigan.
• Demonstrated knowledge to provide nutrition services for aging residents.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and regulations governing diet in nursing facilities.
• Eligible to work in healthcare in Michigan (Background Check required).

This position is responsible for assessing, developing, and directing the overall nutrition plan of care for each guest. An important aspect of this position is collaborating with and encouraging guests and families to participate in the development of care plans. Additionally, the Registered Dietitian continually studies emerging trends and stays current on new research related to the practice of dietetics, and educates the culinary staff on pertinent topics related to human nutrition and culinary service.

What you will need to be a part ofour EPIC team:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition (must be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics).
• Current registration status in Michigan. (Must be Registered Dietitian)
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide nutrition services appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents.
• Must be knowledgeable of dietary practices and procedures as well the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities.
• Must be eligible to work in healthcare as part of the State of Michigan Background Check Requiredprocess.
