PACS Group is seeking a Registered Dietitian to perform nutritional reviews and care planning for residents at Sullivan Park Care Center. The role focuses on coordinating nutrition care with the Dietary Supervisor and conducting monthly reviews for high-risk residents in a part-time capacity.

The position requires an RD or RD-eligibility, a bachelor’s in Food & Nutrition, and state licensure. Prior clinical experience is preferred, with opportunities to supervise dietary staff and collaborate

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian or eligible to sit the RD exam.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition.
  • Preferably 1 year of clinical health care experience.
  • Licensed Dietitian in the state.

Responsibilities

  • Complete nutritional initial, quarterly and annual reviews for residents.
  • Coordinate nutrition care services with Dietary Supervisor.
  • Complete monthly nutrition reviews on high risk residents.
  • Monitor food services operations for safety, sanitation and quality.
  • Inspect diet trays against physician orders before delivery.
  • Consult with physicians and other health care staff to determine diet restrictions.
  • Assist with supervision and management of dietary staff.

## Registered DietitianApplylocations: Sullivan Park Care Centertime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: JR177747General Purpose Complete nutritional initial, quarterly, annual and significant change reviews on residents according to federal and state guidelines. Assist in coordination of nutrition care services with Dietary Supervisor. Complete nutritional reviews monthly on high risk residents (significant weight loss/gain, pressure ulcer, hemodialysis, and tube fed). Essential Duties • Ability to meet all health, compliance, and competency requirements. • Attends and participates in morning meetings/stand up to facilitate communications with the team. • Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans in order to develop and implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling as needed. • Monitor food services operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards, as well as state and federal regulations. • Monitor food control systems such as food temperatures, portion control, preparation methods, garnishment and presentation of food in order to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner. • Inspect diet trays for conformance to physician’s diet orders prior to delivery. • Consult with physicians and other health care personnel (Dialysis Dietitians, Nurse Practitioners, etc.) to determine diet restrictions and nutritional needs of residents. • Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients/residents, families, staff and professional colleagues. Supervisory Requirements Assists with the overall supervision and management of the dietary staff. Qualification Education and/or Experience • Registered Dietitian or completion of approved Bachelor Degree with major studies in Food and Nutrition and eligible for the RD Exam. • Preferable one-year experience in a clinical health care setting or completion of an accredited internship. Language Skills Ability to read technical procedures. Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Registered Dietitian with Commission of Dietetic Registration or eligible. Licensed Dietitian in your local state. Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing. Must remain in good standing with the Department of Public Health License and Certification Division at all times. Physical Demands • Frequent standing and walking throughout the facility (units and kitchen areas) • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds • Regular use of hands and fingers for documentation and handling materials • Occasional bending, stooping, reaching, or crouching • Requires close vision and effective communication with residents, staff, and providers • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
