Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a registered dietitian to develop and monitor comprehensive nutritional care plans and physician-ordered therapeutic diets in an acute care setting. You will conduct thorough nutrition assessments, monitor progress, and collaborate with the healthcare team to integrate nutrition therapy into each patient’s treatment plan.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required, or eligibility to obtain credentialing where applicable.
• Two or more years of clinical dietitian experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Experience performing nutrition assessments and providing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care hospital or facility preferred.
• Knowledge of social, cultural, and economic factors that influence nutrition and the ability to develop realistic, patient-centered care plans.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Provide medical nutrition therapy tailored to each patient's age, medical condition, learning needs, and individualized goals while educating patients with practical, evidence-based strategies that promote long-term success and healthy behavior change.
• Assess patient understanding and cooperation to better integrate nutrition plans into their daily lifestyles.
• Coordinate referrals to appropriate providers, programs and support services to address patient needs comprehensively.
• Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient care, operational efficiency and clinical outcomes.
