Starting at $50 per hour.
8 Hours/week, starting ASAP for a 1‑year duration.
50‑bed behavioral health facility.
Travel offered, pending location.
Entry‑level dietitians encouraged to apply.
Weekdays/daytime hours.

This job is located in Redwood City, California—a vibrant city known for its beautiful parks, lively downtown area, and proximity to the stunning California coast. Enjoy fun city events, outdoor activities, and a thriving food scene all within a short drive!

Key Duties

• Conduct a nutrition assessment for patients at nutritional risk per facility policies and procedures, including foods, beverages, supplements, and medications that influence medical status.
• Develop and implement an individualized plan for nutrition intervention based on nutrition assessment and evidence‑based standards.
• Assess educational needs and provide nutrition counseling and resources for patients and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in meetings and/or rounds.
• Experience with electronic charting, the Nutrition Care Process, and writing PES statements to provide appropriate documentation for the plan of care.
• Work cooperatively with food service staff to ensure conformance to diet prescriptions.
• Demonstrate accountability for the proper use of patients’ protected health information.
• Ability to perform work independently with minimal training.

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Current Registered Dietitian credentialed by CDR.
