Job summary

Rose City Nursing and Rehab in Lancaster, PA is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our skilled nursing facility. The RD will implement, coordinate, and evaluate medical nutrition therapy for residents and complete nutritional assessments.

This role offers a part-time schedule (2 days per week) with flexible scheduling, opportunities to educate residents and families, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support positive resident outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Must be a licensed Registered Dietitian (RD) in good standing.
  • Minimum of two years in long-term care with some admin responsibility, OR one year as a consulting RD.
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and long-term care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing preliminary and comprehensive assessments of each resident's dietary needs.
  • Develop written dietary plans of care identifying nutritional problems, needs, and goals.
  • Encourage residents and families to participate in the development and review of care plans.
  • Ensure dietary personnel are aware of resident care plans and use them when planning daily dietary services.
  • Ensure care plans identify any special equipment and utensils residents may need.
  • Interpret and evaluate information in residents' medical records and make recommendations for appropriate medical nutrition therapy.
  • Monitor residents' nutritional status and make recommendations as needed.
  • Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents and families.

Rose City Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our skilled nursing facility in Lancaster, PA.

The Registered Dietitian will implement, coordinate, and evaluate medical nutrition therapy for residents, provide resident and family education, and complete nutritional assessments and consultations to assist in planning, organizing, and directing the facility's food and nutritional services.

Schedule
  • Part-Time – 2 Days Per Week
  • Flexible scheduling based on facility needs and availability
Responsibilities

Education & Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience as a professional dietitian in long-term care with some administrative responsibility OR
  • One year of experience as a registered consulting dietitian serving one or more long-term care facilities
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and long-term care regulations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
