Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide medical nutrition therapy, dietary counseling, and education to participants and caregivers.
• Monitor nutritional status and adjust care plans based on participant needs.

• Pay Rate: $44–$59 per hour
• Location: Los Angeles, CA 90002 (Onsite)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Assignment Type: Temporary, with potential for temp-to-hire
• Assignment Length: Through December 31, 2026, with potential for extension based on business needs

Job Summary

Medica Talent Group is seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) to support a healthcare organization's Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in Los Angeles.

The Registered Dietitian will provide comprehensive nutritional assessments, individualized care planning, dietary counseling, and nutrition education to older adults. This position works closely with an interdisciplinary care team to promote participant health, ensure appropriate nutrition interventions, and maintain compliance with applicable healthcare and foodservice standards.

This is a temporary opportunity with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position based on performance and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

• Active Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong understanding of clinical nutrition assessments, medical nutrition therapy, and dietary counseling.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Preferred:

• Previous clinical nutrition experience as a Registered Dietitian.
• Experience working with frail elderly populations.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin (Spanish preferred).
• Food Protection Manager Certification.
• Familiarity with PACE programs, foodservice compliance, and nutrition-related regulations.
