Job description

Company Description

Grow with Gabi is a psychotherapy and nutrition practice in Houston, Texas, focused on helping individuals heal their relationship with food and body. The team consists of eating disorder specialists trained in diverse therapeutic modalities and grounded in the belief that care must be individualized rather than “one size fits all.” Services include individual and family therapy, hands‑on meal support, collaborative work with other treatment providers, and ongoing support between sessions. The practice is committed to sustainable, long‑term eating disorder recovery and aims to meet each person where they are, regardless of the symptoms they are experiencing.

Role Description

The Registered Dietitian will provide nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy to clients with eating disorders and related concerns, using a compassionate, non‑judgmental, and weight‑inclusive approach. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting nutrition assessments, developing individualized care plans, providing meal support, documenting clinical encounters, and collaborating closely with therapists and other treatment team members. The role also involves educating clients and families on evidence‑based nutrition practices, participating in case consultations, and maintaining ethical and professional standards of care. This is a full‑time hybrid role based in the Greater Houston area, with a mix of in‑person sessions and some work‑from‑home flexibility.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Dietetics and Nutrition, with the ability to apply current, evidence‑based practices in clinical care.
  • Clinical proficiency in Nutritional Counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy, particularly for eating disorders and related mental health conditions.
  • Experience or training within a non‑diet, weight‑inclusive, or Health at Every Size (HAES)-aligned framework.
  • Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential and eligibility for Texas state licensure (or current Texas licensure).
  • Prior experience working with eating disorders or a strong interest in specializing in eating disorder care; experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and families.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive, trauma‑informed, and non‑discriminatory care; openness to ongoing supervision and professional development.
