Montowese Center for Health & Rehabilitation, affiliate of National Health Care Associates, Inc., seeks a Registered Dietitian for per-diem work at our North Haven, CT facility.

You will assess residents, develop care plans, and collaborate with the culinary and clinical teams to ensure nutritious meals and compliance with regulations. Not a remote position, on-site duties focused on long-term care.

Qualifications

• Active registration with the CDR.
• Valid and active license per state requirements.
• BS in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition or related field.

What You'll Do

As a Registered Dietician, you will evaluate the nutritional status and implement nutrition care plans for our residents. Your expertise will guide our culinary team in providing balanced and wholesome meals that support the health and vitality of those in our care.

Please note this is not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite, comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents
• Develop and ensure the implementation of individualized nutrition care plans
• Collaborate with onsite interdisciplinary teams to ensure nutritional adequacy and compliance to federal, state and local regulations
• Assist food service director in managing costs, overseeing food preparation and service, and developing department staffing plans
• Educate residents, families, and staff on nutritional requirements and healthy eating habits
• Monitor and evaluate residents' nutritional status and make necessary adjustments to care plans

Rate of Pay

Starting from USD $47.00/Hr.

What You'll Bring

• Active registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Valid and active license, per state requirements
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Dietetics, Nutrition or related field
• Previous experience in long-term care setting preferred
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care Interest in the nutrition and health care needs of the aged and the chronically ill with the ability to work with both
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
