Responsibilities include:

• To maintain a high standard of chair-side care in keeping with current Hospital Policies and Procedures.
• To maintain a good public image, both caring and professional.
• To create good staff/patient relationships.
• To liaise with other members of the team to maintain the quality service provided by the Department.
• Organise and run clinics under direction of departmental sister.
• Assist surgeons with all minor surgery and any other procedures which may be carried out.
• Receive and prepare patients for treatment.
• Relay relevant information to surgeon/patient in a clear and precise manner.
• Accurately record all relative information regarding the patient and treatment given and advise on follow-up appointment(s).
• Supervise patient following treatment and impart any information from the surgeon regarding after care of mouth.
• Ensure that all materials required are available.
• Participate in any research project which may be carried out in Department/Unit.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
