Job summary

Grace Health in Battle Creek, MI is seeking a dedicated full-time Dental Hygienist to provide preventive, educational, and therapeutic hygiene services under a dentist's supervision. Schedule options include Mon-Thu 7:30 am–6:30 pm or Mon-Fri 8:00 am–5:00 pm, at our Battle Creek location.

The role requires graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program and an RDH license, with at least one year of dental office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.
• One year of experience, preferably in a dental office setting.
• Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).
• Certification in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide preferred; current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides preventive, educational and therapeutic dental hygiene services under the supervision of a dentist.
• Seats and dismisses patients.
• Assists with maintenance, cleaning, setup and sterilization of equipment and supplies.
• Assists with inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Assists the dentist as needed.
• Maintains current and accurate dental records for each patient.
• Participates in OSHA compliance and monitoring.
• Practices universal precautions.

Job description

Grace Health is looking for a dedicated team-member to work full-time at our Battle Creek location.

The schedule would be Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am-6:30 pm or Monday - Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm. and provide preventive, educational and therapeutic dental hygiene services to all dental patients.

$5,000 Sign-on bonus ($2,500 after successful completion of your probationary period and $2,500 after 6 months).

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (This list is not all inclusive.)

1. Provides preventive, educational and therapeutic dental hygiene services to all dental patients of Grace Health, under the general supervision of a dentist and consistent with Michigan’s Dental Practice Act.
2. Seats and dismisses patients.
3. Assists with maintenance, cleaning, set-up and sterilization of equipment and supplies when possible.
4. Assists with inventory and ordering of supplies.
5. Assists dentist as needed.
6. Maintains current and accurate dental records for each patient.

REQUIREMENTS
