Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a CODA-accredited program.
• Current Dental Hygienist licensure in good standing.
• 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and safety guidelines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and make them comfortable in the treatment area.
• Discuss the care plan with patients and answer questions.
• Prep sterilized equipment for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and record medical histories accurately.
• Perform hygiene exams, remove plaque, and apply fluoride.
• Take and develop dental x-rays and impressions as needed.
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
• Adhere to health, safety, and office policies.
