Qualifications

• State-licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Illinois.
• 2+ years of dental hygiene experience.
• Associate’s degree in dental hygiene; Bachelor's/Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and make them feel comfortable.
• Discuss the care plan and answer questions.
• Prep sterilized equipment for exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and record medical histories.
• Perform exams, remove plaque, and apply fluoride.
• Take x-rays and assist during procedures.
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques to patients.
• Create dental impressions as needed.
• Maintain health and safety standards and office policies.
• Document patient information accurately in the chart.
• Assist the dentist with exams and treatment planning.
