Job summary

Kourosh Karimi DDS PLLC is seeking a qualified Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team in Washington, DC. You will provide dental cleanings, screenings, and assist dentists with exams and procedures.

The ideal candidate holds an active RDH license, an associate degree (bachelor/master preferred), and at least 1–2 years of experience. We value patient comfort and education, strict HIPAA compliance, and a friendly, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Active RDH license in Washington, DC
• 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience
• Strong HIPAA and safety compliance knowledge
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Able to stand for extended periods and bend repeatedly

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable
• Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer questions
• Prep sterilized equipment and assist dentist during exams and procedures
• Take vital signs and record medical histories
• Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
• Evaluate for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
• Teach good oral hygiene techniques
• Take dental impressions and x-rays
• Assist dentist during procedures and exams
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and office policies
