McCleaster Family Dental in Succasunna, NJ is seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist (part-time) to join our growing private practice focused on restorative and cosmetic dentistry. You will provide high-quality hygiene care, educate patients, and contribute to long-term patient health.

We welcome both experienced hygienists and new graduates. Proficiency in Dentrix and Dexis is preferred; loupe and headlight are a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in NJ
• Experience or willingness to learn restorative and cosmetic dentistry
• Proficient in Dentrix and Dexis preferred
• Excellent patient communication and gentle chairside manner

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene cleanings and periodontal therapy
• Assist with procedures as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Take digital x-rays and intraoral photos
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix
• Assist with assessments and treatment planning
• Collaborate effectively with the team
• Ensure infection control per OSHA/HIPAA standards

The ideal candidate will provide high quality dental care and oral hygiene guidance contributing to our patients' overall health and well-being. Responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, periodontal therapy (SRP)
• Assist with procedures as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
• Take digital dental x-rays and intraoral camera photos
• Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
• Assist with patient assessments and treatment planning
• Work collaboratively and efficiently as a motivated team player
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols, OSHA, HIPAA

Experience

• Experienced and new graduates welcome
• Proficiency in Dentrix and Dexis preferred

• Exceptional, patient friendly communication skills
• Familiarity with restorative and cosmetic dental procedures

Office hours

• Monday 9:00am - 6:30pm (1 hour lunch)
• Tuesday 8:00am - 6:00pm (1 hour lunch)
• Wednesday 8:00am - 2:00pm
• Hours and days can be flexible for the right candidate1 hour hygiene visits for existing patients with x-rays1.5 hours hygiene visit for new patientsPay: $49 - $54 hourly based on experience
