Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health for patients of all ages.
• Conduct patient assessments by taking medical histories and reviewing medical records to ensure safe and effective treatment planning.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their individual needs.
• Take X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment notes, medical records, and dental terminology in Eaglesoft
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic environment.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging techniques.
