TTUHSC Managed Care seeks a compassionate Dental Hygienist for the Fort Stockton/Lynaugh Unit in Abilene, TX, delivering essential oral health services to an underserved population. You will perform prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride placements, and maintain records in a teamwork-driven environment.

Responsibilities include patient hygiene education, instrument sterilization per OSHA standards, inventory management, and occasional dental assisting.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved hygiene training program.
• Licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas Board of Dental Examiners.

Responsabilités

• Professionally clean teeth including prophies and scaling and root planing
• Presents instructions on proper personal oral hygiene
• Administers topical fluoride
• Disinfects surfaces and dental equipment
• Sterilizes dental instruments according to OSHA regulations
• Takes thorough inventory of instruments through daily counts and logs
• Serve as Dental Assistant when needed
• Proper record keeping and maintenance both in manual and automated systems
• Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner
• Answer sick call requests and schedules patients in a timely manner

Formation

High School diploma or equivalent
