Job summary

My Kid's Dentist & Orthodontics in Elk Grove, CA, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dentists with patient care, x-rays, and intra-oral photography while helping ensure a smooth, friendly visit for every patient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with state-required certifications.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by the state.
• Associate degree or one-year certificate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Participate in the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on optimal treatment and addressing patient needs.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment while assisting doctors.
• Under the dentist's direction, take and develop x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Under the dentist's direction, educate patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
• Comply with State, Federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).
