Job summary

Southwest Dental Group in Abilene, TX seeks a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) for a full-time role. The practice, established for over 40 years, emphasizes cosmetic, implant, Invisalign, orthodontics, sedation, and laser dentistry with a patient-first approach.

You will assist chairside across general, restorative, and cosmetic procedures, manage impressions and temporary restorations, and support a fast-paced team in a six-doctor, full-scope family practice with early Fridays.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RDA license is required or strongly preferred as per listing.
• Experience preferred, but new graduates with strong work ethic are welcome.
• Comfort with general, restorative, and cosmetic clinical workflows.
• Digital scanning experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist chairside across general, restorative, and cosmetic procedures.
• Take alginate impressions and pour/trim models.
• Fabricate anterior and posterior temporary crowns/veneers.
• Pack and remove retraction cord; assist with in-house whitening.
• Use intra-oral cameras and digital scanning systems; take BP readings; provide post-op instructions; update records.
• Handle instrument sterilization, operatory turnover, and autoclave operations; schedule follow-ups and recalls.

Registered Dental Assistant - Established 6-Doctor Family & Cosmetic Practice in Abilene (Early Fridays)

Southwest Dental Group, a well-established family and cosmetic dental practice serving Abilene, TX for over 40 years, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. We're a six-doctor, full-scope practice (cosmetic, implants, Invisalign, orthodontics, sedation, and laser dentistry, known across Abilene for advanced technology and a caring, patient-first team.

What you'll do: Assist chairside across general, restorative, and cosmetic procedures using light-cured materials; take alginate impressions and pour/trim models; fabricate anterior and posterior temporary crowns/veneers; pack and remove retraction cord; assist with in-house whitening; use intra-oral cameras and digital scanning systems; take blood pressure readings; provide post‑op instructions; chart and update records; handle instrument sterilization, operatory turnover, and autoclave, operation; and schedule follow-ups and recalls.

Schedule: Mon-Thu 7:45 AM-5:30 PM, Fri 7:45 AM-1:30 PM (early Fridays).

Requirements
