Job summary

CommUnityCare in Austin is hiring Registered Dental Assistants across clinic locations to join a patient-centered dental team. You will provide chair-side assistance, take X-rays, impressions, and help maintain infection control and operatory readiness.

Candidates should complete an accredited dental assistant program and hold Texas Radiology, Jurisprudence, and Infection Control certificates, with CPR. Experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of accredited dental assisting course.
• Current CPR certification and Texas Radiology, Jurisprudence & Infection Control certificates.
• Experience in dental field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist with chair-side patient care and procedures.
• Take, develop and mount X-rays.
• Take impressions of dentures for dental appliances.
• Order and maintain supply inventory.
• Ensure infection control and prepare operatories for treatment.
• Document status, care rendered and provider orders accurately.
• Support front desk staff as needed and participate in huddles.
• Maintain patient records and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Adhere to Joint Commission and CommUnityCare policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with care team to deliver patient-centered care.
