Job summary

The Dental Office of Renton is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality care. You will assist with patient preparation, imaging, and chair-side care to ensure efficient, compassionate treatment.

Responsibilities include taking X-rays, educating patients on oral health, maintaining a clean environment, and complying with safety regulations. This role emphasizes strong patient communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED and state-required training for certification, licensure, or registration.
• Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state (e.g. coronal polish, radiograph exposure).
• Associate degree or certificate from an accredited college or tech school, or equivalent design.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for the best treatment with urgency.
• Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience, keeping patients focused on optimal treatment.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and prepare patients for treatment; support doctors for efficiency.
• Under dentist direction, perform x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories per ADA guidelines.
