Job summary

Community Dental Partners is hiring a Registered Dental Assistant to support the dentist during procedures and patient discussions. You will perform general RDA duties with the team, ensuring quality service and professional relationships, and maintain a positive attitude.

The role requires Texas RDA licensing, digital x-ray/charting experience, and relevant certifications. Work hours are Tuesday-Saturday at one location in Richardson/South Plano, with comprehensive benefits and ongoing training

Qualifications

  • Texas issued Registered Dental Assistant license.
  • Digital x-ray and digital charting experience.
  • Sealant placement, nitrous monitoring and coronal polishing certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience preferred (company offers courses)

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for exams, complete digital charting and verify codes.
  • Capture quality x-ray images.
  • Assist dentist with a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Set up and sterilize exam and treatment rooms.
  • Discuss treatment options, importance and follow up recommended care.
  • Provide teeth polishing and sealant placement as certified.
  • Schedule patient treatment appointments as requested.
  • Sterilize instruments and uphold cross-contamination standards.
  • Create a positive patient environment and engagement during visits.
  • Guide patients through post-care instructions.
  • Assist patients with prizes and dismissal.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Registered Dental Assistant

Reports to: Practice Manager, Regional Manager
Key Partnerships: Operations, Clinical, Support Center
Department: Operations
Salary: $18/hr (based experience)
Classification: Non-Except
Status: Full-Time

About this role: The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is responsible for supporting the Dentist during treatments, exams and treatment discussions with patients. This position is responsible for performing general RDA duties in collaboration with other team members. We are looking for team members who are focused on providing quality customer service and maintaining a strong professional relationship with others and a positive attitude.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Greet and prepare patients for exams, completing digital charting and verifying codes with precision.
  • Capture quality x-ray images
  • Assist dentist with a variety of treatment procedures
  • Setting up and sterilizing exam and treatment rooms
  • Discussing treatment options, importance and follow up recommended care
  • Providing teeth polishing and sealant placement procedure (with required certifications)
  • Supporting with patient treatment appointment scheduling as requested
  • Sterilizing instruments and following cross contamination standards
  • Creating positive and uplifting patient environments by patient engagement before, during and after visits
  • Guiding parents and patients through post-care instructions
  • Assisting patients with company-provided prizes and dismissal
  • Understanding and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Preferred):
  • Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing
  • Sealant Placement, Nitrous Monitoring and Coronal Polishing Certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, company provides courses)
  • Digital x-ray and Digital Charting Experience
