The role requires an accredited Dental Assisting program certification, an active Florida Radiographer Certification, CPR/BLS, and strong communication skills. Expanded Functions (EFDA) certification is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with Florida certification requirements.
• Perform expanded functions as authorized by the supervising dentist and Florida regulations.
• Record patient medical histories, vital information, and treatment notes in the electronic dental record.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient instructions.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and clinical materials.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment.
• Assist with laboratory procedures, impressions, temporary restorations, and other delegated duties.

Position Summary
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) provides chairside clinical support to the dentist while ensuring the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and office efficiency. The RDA is responsible for assisting with dental procedures, preparing treatment rooms, educating patients, maintaining accurate records, and performing expanded duties as permitted under Florida law and office protocols.
