Salary: $20.00 - $27.00 / Hourly

Registered Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the RDA is to assist the dentist in gaining the patient’s commitment to the best possible treatment, with urgency. Key duties include:

• Utilizing x-ray time to promote the qualities of the dentist
• Learning patient expectations and educating them with intra-oral pictures
• Using effective chair-side skills
• Supporting the dentist’s diagnosis after examinations

The RDA should comply with safety regulations, infection control, and permitted duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment
• Participate in the Perfect Patient ExperienceÔ by focusing on patient needs
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming environment
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed
• Instruct patients on oral health care
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
• Ensure compliance with regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; required training courses for certification/licensure
• Certifications/licenses as mandated by state (e.g., radiograph, ultrasonic scaling)
• Associate degree or equivalent preferred
