Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited program in radiologic technology, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine.
• Knowledge of imaging processes, filing/reporting systems, and current imaging developments.
• State licensure in Tennessee; ARRT CT within 1 year, or NMCTB option with ARRT CT within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging of patients as part of radiology services.
• Assists physician with obtaining patient records and correctly identifies records/images.
• Maintains imaging equipment and reports any equipment failures.
• Loads and processes film correctly.
• Keeps abreast of new imaging methods through independent study and continuing education.
• Responds appropriately in emergency situations.
• Other duties as assigned.
