Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position is essential in supporting patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining a patient-centered environment. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and passionate about providing quality healthcare to diverse patient populations.

Key Responsibilities
Exceptional Customer Service
  • Communicate and work effectively with people of varying backgrounds, healthcare professionals, and support staff at all levels.
  • Maintain respect and regard for the dignity of all patients and their families/caregivers.
EHR Inbox Management
  • Process inbox messages in a timely manner.
Phone Messages / Telephone Encounters
  • Return messages and relay pertinent information to patients or other entities as needed.
Visit Preparation
  • Prepare patients for medical procedures and assist with procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize rooms after each patient.
Patient Care within Scope of Practice
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health and psychosocial needs, and develop collaborative treatment plans with patients (and their family or caregivers) and the healthcare team.
  • Record all interventions (phone, email, in-person) in patient charts, and compile and produce reports on service delivery and outcomes.
  • Work with the RN Care Team Director and Clinical Operations Director to obtain data for outcome measurement reporting.
  • Report patient progress in patient files and to medical staff.
  • Perform basic laboratory and point-of-care testing.
  • Maintain patient medical records and work with providers to send medication refills to the appropriate pharmacy.
  • Provide care to patients from newborns to geriatrics, including women’s health, OB, immunizations, and more.
  • Communicate relevant information to various departments to maintain continuity of care.
  • Stay up to date with immunization changes.
  • Obtain vital signs (including manual blood pressure) and perform screenings/measurements.
  • Provide patient education as needed.
