Job summary

Peterson Health in Kerrville, Texas, seeks a PRN Registered Cardiac Echo Tech to support imaging services. Works under radiologists and management to acquire diagnostic images and assist with invasive procedures as needed.

Required are ARDMS/ARRT/CCI registry and BLS CPR; associates degree in radiologic science or registry is needed, with bachelor’s preferred. Eligible for benefits and on-site fitness access.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Science or registry in ARDMS/ARRT/CCI.
• BLS CPR and vascular registry preferred.
• Prior ultrasound technologist registration required.

Required Skills:

• 1. Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision making and patient care skills.
• 2. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, and both radiation protection and safety.
• 3. Knowledge of ultrasound physics.
• 4. Knowledge of medical terminology.
• 5. Ability to determine correct probe utilization and placement for optimal imaging.
• 6. Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation of techniques, positions, and other related qualities.
• 7. Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum image of desired anatomy.
• 8. Skill in safe and efficient operation of imaging equipment.
• 9. Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date.
• 10. Ability to determine proper protocols to achieve optimum diagnostic images with high degree of efficiency.

Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:

One of the following: ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI registry. Must have BLS CPR and Vascular registry

Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:

Multiple modality registry in abdomen, cardiac echo, vascular, and/or breast

Required Experience:

Entry level education as a registered ultrasound technologist

Preferred Experience:

One year experience as a registered ultrasound technologist
