Job summary

ABA Centers of Virginia is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a full-time role in Woodbridge, VA. Starting rate of $24.60 per hour with paid training and mentorship. Eligible for referral bonuses and ongoing career growth through the ABA Academy of Excellence.

Must maintain BACBboard RBT certification and complete required training. Responsibilities include delivering ABA therapy in various settings, collecting session data, and collaborating with BCBA supervisors and families.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification through BACBboard is required.
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles).
• Ability to work Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–7:00 PM; potential Saturdays as noted.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance; background checks & drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues as needed.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills under BCBA supervision.
• Track progress, document session data, and maintain quality; collaborate with BCBAs and families.

What You’ll Do

Direct Client Support

• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues depending on client needs
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision
• Track Progress & Maintain Quality
• Collect, organize, and document session data accurately

Collaborate & Communicate

• Work closely with BCBAs, team members, and families
• Participating in team meetings and ongoing training

Support Operations

• Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Active RBT certification through the BACBboard.
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
• Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services

Position-Specific Items

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
