Job description

Starting Pay: Our compensation is competitive within the market. The minimum rate for this position begins at $23.44 per hour, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications (for certified RBTs).

Not yet certified? We've got you covered! We pay for the RBT course, which must be completed before your first day, and we provide exam prep support. While preparing for the exam, you'll start at a lower training rate. Once certified, your pay increases to the minimum RBT rate.

RETENTION BONUS OPPORTUNITY!
  • $1,000 — Full-Time
  • $500 — Part-Time (20+ hours/week)

Stay & Earn: Half of your bonus is paid at 90 days, with the remaining half paid at 180 days.

Schedule: Full-Time | Thursday - Sunday| Flexible scheduling

POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a direct care, frontline clinical staff member responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services within Community Living homes.

RBTs work directly and continuously with individuals served, implementing Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), skill acquisition programs, and data collection procedures under the supervision of a BCBA/LBA, in accordance with Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) standards.

RBTs are responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality implementation of clinical programming, maintaining continuous engagement and supervision, and supporting individuals in developing skills that improve independence and quality of life.

This is a safety-sensitive, hands-on role requiring active participation, attentiveness, and direct interaction with individuals served throughout the shift.

RBTs implement supports using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), working in close collaboration with Behavioral Clinicians to carry out evidence-based interventions, skill-building programs, and behavior support strategies with fidelity.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certification
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Current RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), or ability to obtain within required timeframe
  • Must maintain active RBT certification, including supervision and competency requirements
Experience
  • Valid driver’s license meeting transportation requirements (Missouri Class E, out-of-state equivalent, or CDL with Passenger/School Bus endorsement).
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral needs preferred
  • Experience in residential, school, or clinical settings preferred

  • Assist BCBA with implementation of assessments as directed
  • Maintain fidelity to all clinical programming
  • Participate in supervision sessions and apply feedback
BACB REQUIREMENTS & COMPLIANCE
  • Maintain active RBT certification in good standing
  • Participate in required ongoing supervision (minimum 5% of hours, per BACB standards)
  • Demonstrate competency in all required RBT task list skills
  • Adhere to the BACB RBT Ethics Code
  • Maintain documentation of supervision and competency requirements
  • Immediately report any ethical concerns or violations
DAILY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide continuous, direct supervision and engagement of individuals served
  • Implement clinical programming throughout the shift
  • Support individuals with daily routines and activities
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and structured environment
  • Collaborate with DSPs to ensure consistency in care and programming
  • Complete all documentation before the end of shift
  • Support transportation and community activities as needed
ACCOUNTABILITY & IMPACT

RBTs are directly accountable for the quality and fidelity of clinical services delivered during their shifts.

RBTs are responsible for ensuring:

  • Accurate implementation of BSPs and skill acquisition programs
  • Continuous engagement and supervision of individuals served
  • Accurate and timely data collection and documentation
  • Immediate response to behavioral and safety concerns
  • Consistency in clinical programming

RBTs are expected to take action to implement and maintain programming, not simply observe or report.

Failure to meet these expectations may result in corrective action, as performance directly impacts clinical outcomes, safety, and compliance.

OTHER DUTIES
  • Participate in trainings, meetings, and supervision sessions
  • Assist with preparation of materials for programming
  • Support organizational initiatives as assigned
  • Transition between homes and clients as needed for operational and individual needs
  • Complete all documentation, billing, and reporting requirements in accordance with BHA and regulatory guidelines
