Job summary

ABA Centers of Connecticut is seeking a part-time BT/RBT to support clients across Hartford, New Britain, Rocky Hill and Middletown. This role offers a $22.25/hour start for BTs and $24.60/hour for RBTs, with final pay determined by experience, training, and education.

Paid training, mentorship, and a clear path for advancement are provided. You'll deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, or clinics under BCBA supervision, help clients learn communication and daily living skills, and maintain

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles).
  • Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.

  • Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues depending on client needs.

What You'll Do

Direct Client Support

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
  • Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

  • Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Prior exposure to ABA services

Position-Specific Items

  • Behavior Technician (BT):Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
  • Training availability (BT / RBT):Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
