Job summary

ABA Centers of Virginia is seeking dedicated therapists to deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, and clinics. The role includes teaching communication and daily living skills, implementing treatment plans under BCBA supervision, and meticulously tracking progress and data.

You will collaborate with BCBAs, families, and colleagues in a supportive, fast-growing environment. Paid training, mentorship, and a clear path for career advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months of relevant experience.
• Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
• Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services

Position-Specific Items

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
