Job summary

ABA Centers of America in Chelmsford, MA is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT). The RBT starts at $23.50 per hour and BT at $21.25 per hour; final compensation is determined by experience, training, and education.

The company provides paid training, mentorship, and the ABA Academy of Excellence to help you prepare for and pass the RBT exam. You will deliver ABA therapy, track progress, and collaborate with BCBA supervisors and families.

Qualifications

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
• NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field

Position-Specific

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services
