Job summary

ABA Centers of America is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT/BT) to deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, clinics, and other settings. This full-time role offers paid training, mentorship, and a clear path for advancement.

You will work under BCBA supervision, collect data, track progress, and collaborate with families and BCBAs. Starting pay is $19.35/hour for BTs and $21.40/hour for RBTs, with final compensation based on experience and education.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships).
  • Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Direct Client Support

  • Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues depending on client needs
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision

Collaborate & Communicate

What You’ll Do
  • Support individuals with autism in the home, in the community, or in one of our new centers
  • Teach daily living skills and social skills using effective behavior and evidence-based treatments
  • Collect, organize, and summarize unbiased data during sessions
  • Collaborate and participate in clinical team meetings and ongoing training
  • Implement training and therapy sessions designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate effectively with fellow RBTs, BCBAs, families, Executive Directors, and additional team members to support the client’s needs
  • Performs other clerical and administrative duties as assigned to support operations
What We’re Looking For
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
  • Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
Preferred
  • Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
  • Experience working with children or adolescentsPrior exposure to ABA services
Position-Specific Items
  • Behavior Technician (BT):Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
  • Training availability (BT / RBT):Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
