Job summary

ABA Centers of America in Peabody, MA is seeking Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Behavior Technician (BT) to join our growing ABA therapy team. The RBT role starts at $23.50 per hour and BT at $21.25 per hour, with final compensation determined by experience, training, and education.

You will provide in-home, school, or community ABA services, implement treatment plans under BCBA supervision, track progress, and collaborate with BCBAs and families.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (internships or related roles) preferred.
  • Availability mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
  • Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
Preferred
  • Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Prior exposure to ABA services
Position-Specific Items
  • Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
  • Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
