Job summary

Opal Autism Centers in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our center-based ABA therapy team. In this role you will implement treatment plans under supervision of a BCBA, collect data, and engage with children and families to support progress.

Qualifications

  • Active RBT certification or BACB-approved training.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience with children or individuals with special needs.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience with autism or developmental disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Pay Range: $37,440 - $52,000 (hourly pay, not salary)

As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our clients. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism. You will implement individualized treatment plans supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and engage with families to support their understanding and involvement in the therapy process. Requirements
  • Active RBT certification - OR - certificate of completion of a 40-hour RBT training course recognized and accepted by the BACB - OR - work experience as a BT in the field of ABA
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year experience working with children or individuals with special needs
  • Ability to obtain CPR certification before your employment start date
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental disabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards in behavior analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a treatment team
  • Desire for ongoing professional development and training
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
  • Physical ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and sit/stand/squat throughout the day
  • Comfortable working fully on-site in a center-based setting
