Job summary

Freedom Behavior Consulting, LLC in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children and families in the Tucson area. You will deliver individualized interventions in home, community, and school settings under the supervision of a BCBA, helping clients build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

This part-time role requires a Monday–Friday schedule (20 hours/week) with a daytime slot to support

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• RBT credential must be obtained (within 6 months of hire) and maintained during employment.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with clients.
• Promote replacement behaviors to improve communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
• Fade prompts to promote independence and correct responding.
• Increase appropriate behaviors through reinforcement.
• Accurately collect behavioral data (ABC, frequency, duration, latency).
• Complete session notes after each session.
• Follow treatment plan goals and seek BCBA input when needed.
• Collaborate with families and BCBA for effective treatment.
• Educate clients and families on ABA and RBT scope of practice.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients/families.
• Support reassessment activities as directed by BCBA.
• Meet 5% ongoing supervision requirement.

About the Role

We're looking for a Registered Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one behavioral therapy to children and families in the Tucson area. You'll deliver individualized ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) interventions in home, community, and school settings, helping clients build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. You'll work under the supervision of a BCBA and be part of a supportive team that values your growth.

What You'll Do

• Build a genuine, trusting relationship with each client by pairing yourself as a positive, reinforcing presence.
• Prompt and reinforce safe, socially appropriate replacement behaviors to grow communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
• Fade prompts thoughtfully to promote independence and successful responding.
• Increase the frequency and duration of appropriate behaviors through effective use of reinforcement.
• Accurately collect behavioral data (ABC, frequency, duration, latency, interval recording, and more).
• Complete thorough, guideline-compliant session notes after every session.
• Follow treatment plan goals and interventions, using sound clinical judgment and seeking BCBA consultation when needed.
• Collaborate closely with families and the supervising BCBA to ensure smooth, effective treatment.
• Educate clients and families on the role of ABA and the RBT's scope of practice.
• Maintain professional boundaries and avoid dual relationships with clients/families.
• Support reassessment activities as directed by the BCBA.
• Meet the BACB's required 5% ongoing supervision requirement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two or more years of coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a related field preferred.
• Must currently hold, or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), and maintain certification throughout employment.
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required.
