Job summary

Action Behavior Centers is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Pearland, TX for a full-time, day-shift role. You will provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children ages 18 months to 8 years, under supervision, following individualized treatment plans and recording progress data.

The position offers predictable hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm) with optional Saturdays, competitive pay based on education and ABA experience, and opportunities for growth into leadership and BCBA paths.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical activity during sessions.
• Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire.
• May cover a nearby ABC clinic if needed.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children aged 18 months to 8 years using ABA therapy.
• Follow personalized treatment plans and collect session data.
• Engage children through play, movement, reading, games and hands-on activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe therapy environment and collaborate with the team.
• Support growth and learning goals for each child.
• Watch example behavior technician role via provided videos.

Pay (based on education & previous ABA experience)

• High School / Associate’s Degree: $16– $22.50 per hour
• Bachelor’s Degree: $16.50 –$24 per hour
• Master’s Degree: $17.50 –$26 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll work one-on-one with children ages 18 months to 8 years using play-based ABA therapy. In this role, you will:

• Follow personalized treatment plans and collect simple session data

• Stay active and engaged throughout therapy sessions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment

Job Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
• Comfortable sitting, standing, crouching, and getting on/off the floor frequently
• Able to maintain an active pace while working with young children
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire
• Team mindset: may occasionally help support a nearby ABC clinic if additional coverage is needed
