Job description

Part-time afternoon shifts (2pm-7pm), Monday to Friday

D & M’s mission is to help children with autism and their families build the skills, confidence, and daily routines to thrive at home, at school, and in the community.

D & M Behavioral Solutions of Fort Lauderdale, FL is looking to hire a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Are you a certified RBT looking for steady part-time hours? Do you need a schedule that fits around your classes or your own kids? Would you like your mornings free? If so, please read on!

Join us in partnering with families to carry out ABA treatment plans that build communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.

Why Work at D & M Behavioral Solutions?
  • Competitive Compensation: $19 - $25 per hour, based on your experience, education, and certifications, paid biweekly by direct deposit.
  • Part-Time Flexibility: Part-time afternoon shifts (2pm-7pm), Monday to Friday. We keep your families close together so you spend your afternoon in sessions, not traffic.
  • Health and Wellness: Our PreventivePay wellness program gives you 24/7 virtual urgent care, unlimited virtual doctor visits, and ongoing virtual primary care, with no waiting rooms.
  • Mental Health Support: Confidential counseling with licensed mental health counselors, plus unlimited wellness support groups: yoga, sleep coaching, emotional resilience, whole-body wellness coaching, therapeutic art, grief and loss, managing chronic pain, quitting nicotine, a men’s group, and parenting support for moms.
  • Real Savings: Free acute medications and up to 80% off other prescriptions at 70,000+ pharmacies, and up to 60% off dental care with 263,000+ dentists, where each family member picks their own dentist.
  • Tuition Discount: Through our partnership with Purdue University Global, you and your immediate family (spouse or partner, children, parents, and siblings) save 14% on any graduate program and 20% on any undergraduate program, in fields like psychology and ABA, health sciences, nursing, business, education, human services, and information technology.
  • Supervision: Monthly BCBA supervision and coaching at no cost to you.
  • Career Growth: Career path to Lead RBT and our Student Analyst (RBT to BCBA) program.
  • Mileage: Reimbursed between client locations at the current IRS rate.
  • Impactful Work: Help a child say a first word, make a friend, or get through the day with more independence.
A Day in the Life of a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

As a Registered Behavior Technician, you play an essential role in helping our clients reach their goals. You work one-on-one with children at home, at school, and in the community, delivering kid-centered ABA therapy through games, play, and everyday routines. You follow the treatment plan your BCBA designed, collect data in real time on ABA Matrix, and write a clear session note before you head to your next family. Because we build your caseload around your availability and your neighborhood, your schedule works for you.

You are never on your own. Your BCBA visits your sessions every month to coach you in the moment, answer your questions, and celebrate the wins with you. Each day brings new challenges and new breakthroughs, like a first word, a calm transition, or a caregiver who thanks you by name, and you find real fulfillment in knowing your work changes a child’s life.

What Would You Be Doing?
  • Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Teaches communication, social, play, and daily living skills through play-based and naturalistic ABA.

  • Technology: A tablet or laptop for session notes.
  • Background: Ability to pass a Florida Level 2 background screening.
  • Passion for Children: A genuine love for working with kids and families.
  • Positive Attitude: Patience, reliability, and strong communication with families and teammates.

Experience with children with autism is a plus, but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Are you patient, dependable, and playful? Are you organized and attentive to detail? Do you communicate well with families? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team? If so, you might just be perfect for this position in ABA therapy!
