Job summary

Behaven Kids is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to provide safe, structured therapy for children with autism in a supportive, inclusive setting. The role emphasizes direct therapy, documentation, and collaboration with families and the care team.

Candidates should have a High school diploma and a BACB credential in good standing (preferred). Experience with autism and a commitment to ongoing professional development are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (Required).
  • Certified Registered Behavior Technician in good standing with the BACB (Preferred).
  • 3 years experience working with children (Required).
  • Associate degree in early childhood education or related field (Preferred).
  • Experience with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Direct therapy for children with autism using discrete trials to teach language, play social interaction, and self-help skills.
  • Provide a safe, structured learning environment.
  • Interact with children in a professional, positive manner.
  • Implement Behaven Kids model of care and curriculum.
  • Implement treatment goals and objectives.
  • Prepare updates and maintain documentation and children’s records.
  • Communicate treatment progress and concerns with parents, staff and supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides a safe and effective learning environment for children in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Behaven Kids.

Job Requirements
  • Must be at least nineteen years of age.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma (Required).
  • Certified Registered Behavior Technician in good standing with the BACB (Preferred).
  • 3 years experience working with children (Required).
  • Associate degree in early childhood education or related field (Preferred).
  • Experience with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities (Preferred)
