Job summary

InBloom Autism Services in Connecticut seeks experienced Registered Behavior Technician IIs (RBT IIs) to join our diverse team. You will provide one-on-one therapy, implement behavior programs, collect data, and work closely with BCBAs to monitor client progress.

The position supports families through training and collaboration, with emphasis on ethics and professionalism. Applicants need a HS diploma or GED, an active RBT certification, and at least 6 months of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Active RBT certification with BACB.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a relevant role.
  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Passion for helping children and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one therapy to clients in centers, homes or schools.
  • Follow and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs to monitor progress and adjust plans.
  • Utilize behavior reduction techniques per plan.
  • Help clients acquire functional and social skills.
  • Train parents/caregivers on intervention techniques.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Complete paperwork and session notes.
  • Communicate openly with the team and families.

We are hiring experienced Registered Behavior Technician II’s (RBT II’s) to join our diverse team. Alongside our amazing BCBAs, you will implement top tier behavior therapy programs through 1:1 therapy, data collection, and teamwork. Responsibilities
  • Direct Client Care: Provide one-on-one therapy to clients in various settings including our Centers, homes and/or schools.
  • Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Follow the behavior intervention plans designed by BCBAs to address specific behavioral goals and objectives for each client.
  • Data Collection: Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors and responses during therapy sessions, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
  • Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with the supervising BCBAs to track and report client progress towards behavioral goals and adjust intervention plans as needed.
  • Behavior Reduction Techniques: Utilize approved behavior reduction techniques and strategies as outlined in the behavior intervention plan to address challenging behaviors.
  • Skill Acquisition: Assist clients in acquiring and developing functional skills, communication abilities, and appropriate social behaviors.
  • Parent/Caregiver Training: Provide training and support to parents/caregivers on implementing behavior intervention techniques and strategies in the home environment.
  • Professionalism: Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in behavior analysis while maintaining client confidentiality.
  • Documentation: Complete required paperwork, progress reports, and session notes.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with the BCBAs, parents/caregivers, and other team members involved in the client's treatment.
Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children and helping others.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have an active Registered Behavior Technician certification through the BACB
  • Must have 6 months or more of experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical capacity to move quickly and respond to potentially aggressive behavior and
  • de-escalate situations with clients.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, running and/or
  • sitting in order to interact with clients.
  • Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds to assist with client positioning or mobility.
  • Adequate vision and hearing are needed to work with clients and staff.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to operate office equipment and other
  • necessary tools.
