Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to support autistic/emotional support students in a Ft. Worth, TX school setting. You will work one-on-one following IEP and PBSP to help students reach academic and behavioral goals in a trauma-informed environment.

Position details include a Monday–Friday schedule with compensation at $17 per hour. This role offers meaningful work within a compassionate, mission-driven team at Merakey.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Behavior Technician certification that includes the trainer's name and BCBA/BCaBA.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to assume and maintain various postures for extended periods.
• Experience with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions.
• Monday–Friday availability 8:00am–4:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in a school setting for autistic/emotional support students.
• Follow each child's IEP and PBSP to help achieve academic and behavioral goals.
• Contribute to a trauma-informed learning environment and support student development.

Position Details

As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work one on one in our school setting, where you will have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of autistic/emotional support students who are all unique and amazing! Following each child's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and Positive Behavior Support Plan (PBSP), you will help the student achieve their academic and behavioral goals. Your dedication and empathy will help our students learn in a trauma-informed environment. In this role, you will be part of a team where you can have fun and be an integral part of our students' development.

Earn: $17 per hr.

Varies Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants must hold a Registered Behavior Technician certification that includes the name of the trainer responsible, who is a certified BCBA or BCaBA.
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or mental health diagnosis
• Monday - Friday availability between 8:00am -4:00pm.

Preferred:

• Completed associate or bachelor's degree (or degree in process) highly preferred -- Degree programs of choice include Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Education, Human Services, Social Work, Special Education, Early Childhood, etc.
• Direct experience providing ABA services in a classroom or school environment is highly preferred.
