Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in Woodbridge, VA seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental or behavioral challenges.

You will implement behavior plans, document progress, and support social and communication skills under supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts; must be at least 18 and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Passion for working with children with special needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science or human development or 1 year experience with children

Responsibilities

  • Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors
  • Document child progress and milestones
  • Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts
