Job summary

Channel ABA is hiring for a clinical role delivering one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism in home-based settings across Montgomery County, MD. You will implement individualized plans created by a BCBA, collect data, and help develop communication and daily living skills in a supportive team environment.

Ideal candidates hold an RBT certification with at least one year of relevant experience, strong communication, and reliable transportation to travel between client locations.

Qualifications

  • RBT certification (BACB) required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with autism/developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team.
  • Reliable transportation with travel up to 45 minutes between locations.
  • CPR and First Aid current or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism.
  • Implement behavior plans developed by a BCBA.
  • Collect behavioral data using electronic systems.
  • Teach communication, social, adaptive living, and life skills.
  • Use positive reinforcement and evidence-based ABA strategies.
  • Communicate with supervising BCBAs and caregivers.
  • Maintain session notes and documentation.
  • Follow BACB ethics and company policies.
  • Attend supervision, team meetings, and training sessions.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
Required
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least one year of experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a clinical team

  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel up to 45 minutes between client locations

  • Ability to pass federal and state background checks

  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain if required)

Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Behavior Analysis, Human Services, Child Development, or a related field

  • Experience using electronic ABA data collection software (CentralReach, Catalyst, Hi Rasmus, or similar)

  • Experience working in home, school, or community-based ABA services

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to:

  • Sit on the floor for extended periods

  • Kneel, squat, bend, crawl, and run when necessary

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds

  • Respond quickly to ensure client safety

  • Work in home, school, and community environments

Preferred Availability:
  • Monday-Friday

  • Afternoon and evening availability required

  • Part-time and full-time schedules available
