Role Description

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a flexible position in several locations (McMinnville, Smithville, Dickson and Columbia). The RBT will implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), providing 1:1 support in home, school, and community settings. Daily tasks include collecting accurate data on client behavior and skills, assisting with functional and skills-based assessments, and following structured teaching and behavior-reduction procedures. The RBT will maintain clear, professional communication with supervisors, caregivers, and other team members, document sessions in a timely manner, and participate in regular training and supervision. This role also involves promoting client dignity, safety, and independence while adhering to ethical and compliance standards.

Qualifications
  • Foundational knowledge or experience in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, with the ability to implement behavior plans as directed.
  • Skills in Behavioral Intervention and Psychology, including understanding of reinforcement, motivation, and behavior-change strategies.
  • Strong Communication abilities, including clear documentation, professional interaction with caregivers and colleagues, and responsive listening.
  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or eligibility to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work reliably on-site in Middle Tennessee area with physical capacity to engage in active, play-based and instructional work with clients.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and ongoing professional development.
  • Experience working with neurodivergent individuals or those with developmental or behavioral needs is highly beneficial.
