Job summary

A leading behavioral health provider in Arizona City is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. In this role, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA. Candidates should be passionate about helping children, able to work in a team, and meet minimum age and educational requirements. Physical capability to lift and move is essential. Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certifications.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Physical ability to move, sit, squat, bend, and lift 50 pounds.

Job description

Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

Responsibilities
  • Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
  • Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
  • Reduce interfering behaviors and support each child’s progress toward goals.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the child and family.
Qualifications
  • Passionate about helping children with autism
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
  • 18+ years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
  • Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Additional Qualifications (not required)
  • Experience as a Behavioral Technician, or working with children with autism or other learning disabilities, Teacher’s Aide, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver or Home Health Aide
