Job summary

OrthoAtlanta, the largest independent physician-owned orthopedic and sports medicine practice in Georgia, seeks a Registered Architect to join our on-site team in Atlanta. You will design healthcare interiors, develop space plans, and collaborate with physicians to support orthopedic care delivery.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Architecture, GA licensure, 3+ years in healthcare interiors, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite, plus 3D visualization and healthcare codes

Qualifications

  • Healthcare interior design experience required (3+ years).
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture; GA architecture licensure required.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and 3D visualization.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare codes and planning standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop space plans, interior layouts, and drawings that support clinical workflow.
  • Create finish plans, materials palettes, FFE specs, and lighting concepts aligned with brand.
  • Ensure ADA, life-safety, FGI, and healthcare-specific compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, PT leadership, and surgical ops to tailor designs.
  • Prepare presentation materials, design boards, and digital models for leadership review.
  • Conduct site visits, field measurements, and construction administration as needed.
  • Work closely with contractors, equipment planners, and vendors throughout project execution.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop space plans, interior layouts, and detailed drawings that support clinical workflow and orthopedic care delivery.
  • Create finish plans, materials palettes, FFE specifications, and lighting concepts aligned with our brand and patient‑experience goals.
  • Ensure compliance with ADA, life‑safety, FGI, and healthcare‑specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, PT leadership, and surgical operations to tailor designs to specialty needs.
  • Prepare presentation materials, design boards, and digital models for leadership and stakeholder review.
  • Conduct site visits, field measurements, and construction administration as needed.
  • Work closely with contractors, equipment planners, and vendors throughout project execution.
What We’re Looking For
  • Healthcare experience REQUIRED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • Registered as an Architect in Georgia.
  • 3+ years of experience designing healthcare interiors (medical office, ASC, PT, or similar strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and 3D visualization tools.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare codes and interior planning standards.
  • Ability to balance creativity with function, efficiency, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; experience collaborating with clinical staff is a plus.
