Nationwide Financial seeks a Life Wholesaler to market life insurance solutions through brokerage general agencies and financial professionals. You will drive relationships, present solutions, and advise on products within the California territory.
The role requires consultative sales, strong knowledge of life insurance products, and licenses (FINRA and state). Travel and field engagement are expected as part of building distribution channels.

As a Life Wholesaler, you'll market life insurance products and solutions through brokerage general agencies, producer groups, broker dealers, independent marketing organizations, and with financial professionals. Your role is the highlight Nationwide’s life insurance products and services using a consultative sales approach.
Reports to Sales Manager.
Undergraduate studies in business, finance, communications or liberal arts preferred.
FINRA Series 6 or 7, Series 63, State Life / Annuity Insurance Agent licenses required. CLU, ChFC, FLMI, CFP, ASPPA, CLTC designations preferred. Associates must acquire the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate is unable to acquire required licenses/registrations within the designated time period, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.
Between one and three years of internal wholesaling experience, as well as one to three years of external wholesaling experience of financial service products.
College-level mathematics, finance, statistics, economics, economics and investment management theories/practices. Financial service products, life insurance, long term care insurance, contracts, securities trading and regulation, and competitor products, policies, practices and procedures in customer service and investment product processing. Sophisticated interpersonal and written skills to effectively communicate and influence company officers, top brokers, home office and outside business partners. Excellent group presentation skills for audiences of company owners, officers, principals, executive boards, and financial intermediaries of up to 200 people. Ability to effectively teach state continuing education courses to industry professionals. Basic Microsoft office usage skills including a solid understanding of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Lotus Notes, Salesforce CRM. Excellent time management and organizational skills required to lead statewide sales activities and multiple sales/distribution relationships. Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.

Nationwide pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement within the actual starting salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment. Actual compensation may be prorated based on the number of hours worked relative to a full-time schedule. The national salary range for Regional Wholesaler - Life : $75,000-$80,168.40 The expected starting salary range for Regional Wholesaler - Life : $75,000-$75,000
